RPL clubs have launched an initiative to simplify the use of Fan ID

RPL clubs offered to use Fan ID only at the top matches of the national championship

Clubs of the Russian Premier League (RPL) have taken the initiative to simplify obtaining a Fan ID. It is reported by “RB Sport”.

A number of teams suggested using Fan ID only for the top matches of the national championship, such as the Moscow derby and Zenit – Spartak. The clubs also asked not to change the admission system for Russian Cup matches, where at the moment a fan ID is required only at the final of the tournament.

In addition, it was proposed to switch to a remote format for issuing a document and open mobile points of the MFC near the stadiums. The clubs were also asked to make concessions or completely exempt from the need to issue a Fan ID for children under 14 years old, pensioners and the disabled.

On March 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to simplify the Fan ID system. Appropriate measures should be taken primarily with regard to the disabled, pensioners and children. The deadline for completing the task is May 1, 2023.

The State Duma adopted the law on Fan ID in December 2021. To enter the stands for RPL matches, each fan must have a personalized spectator card, which was previously impossible to issue remotely. In response to this decision, active fans of the RPL clubs, except for the Grozny Akhmat, announced a boycott of league matches.
