Milan insists, but does not leave the 0-0 with Empoli for the Italian

This Friday, the Milan received Empoli and drew the match 0-0 for the 29th round of the Italian Championship.

With the result, Milan rises to third in the table momentarily and reaches 52 points. Empoli, on the other hand, is in 14th place, with 32 points.

Milan’s next game is against Napoli, at home, for the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals. The duel is scheduled for 4 pm (Brasília time) this Wednesday. Empoli, on the other hand, returns to the field only next Friday, when they face Cremonese, at 1:30 pm, for the Italian Championship.

The game

Milan started the game superiorly, as expected, and finished a lot on goal. In the final half of the first half, however, the pace of play for the home team dropped and the clearest opportunities failed to appear. With that, at the end of 45 minutes, the score was still 0-0.

On the way back from the locker room, after much insistence from the home team and numerous chances created, Milan conceded a penalty in the 13th minute, but the VAR review annulled the handball against Ebuehi. The home team continued to be the best team until the final whistle and managed to hit the post in the 30th minute.

At 43 of the final stage, Giroud appeared to head inside the small area and score what would be Milan’s winning goal, but the ball splashed on the Frenchman’s arm and the bid was canceled by VAR. After that, chances no longer appeared and the match ended goalless.
