ESPN: PSG striker Lionel Messi is interested in a move to Saudi Al-Hilal
Argentine striker Paris Saint-Germain Lionel Messi is interested in moving to the club from Saudi Arabia. It is reported by ESPN, citing a source familiar with the negotiations.
It is noted that against the backdrop of problems with the renewal of the contract with PSG, the likelihood of Messi’s transfer to the Saudi Al-Hilal is currently increasing. After negotiations between the parties, it reached 50 percent.
Earlier it became known that Al-Hilal made an official offer to the Argentine striker. The team owners offered Messi a salary of 400 million euros a year.
Messi signed a contract with PSG in August 2021, it runs until June 2023 with the option of a one-season extension. Prior to that, the striker played for Barcelona throughout his career, in which he won the Spanish championship ten times and won the Champions League four times.
