The defender lost, at the last minute, Real Madrid’s most recent game against Valladolid, for the Spanish Championship. The player has been preserved due to knee pain – Rudiger recently trained with protection in place.
In the King’s Cup, Real Madrid will seek a reaction against Barcelona. In the first leg, the Catalan team won away from home by 1-0, so they come with an advantage for the return match.
