The celebrations for the third world championship of the Argentina they haven’t finished yet. After being applauded by more than 80,000 fans who went to the Monumental de Nunes to honor o friendly against o Panamalast Thursday, the Argentines took to the stage at the headquarters of Conmebol, in Paraguay, to receive tributes for winning the World Cup.
The players received tributes from the hands of fans that went viral during or after winning the World Cup. The last person to be honored was Lionel Messi.

Before being invited on stage, a dialogue between PelĂ© and Maradona talking about the star was recreated using holograms. Messi received a replica of the World Cup and Finalissima cups and a “baton of leadership and command of world football”. In addition, his life-size statue was also presented to the public and to the player himself, which will be on display at the Conmebol museum, alongside those of PelĂ© and Maradona.
Lionel Scaloni, coach of the Argentine national team, also received special awards. The coach was presented with miniatures of the three cups he lifted under the command of the team: the America Cup, in 2021, the Finalissima and the World Cup, both in 2022. Members of the commander’s commission received a plaque. In addition to them, Claudio Tapia, president of the AFA, the Argentine Football Association, received a special mention as the best manager in the world.
On Tuesday, Argentina will take the field to face Curaçao, starting at 8:30 pm (BrasĂlia time), at the EstĂĄdio Ănico, in Santiago del Estero, Argentina. It will be the team’s last festive friendly.
