American fighter Mitchell called the contractual fight between Makhachev and Volkanovski at UFC 284
American mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Bryce Mitchell called the contractual duel between Russian Islam Makhachev and Australian Alexander Volkanovski. He shared this opinion in an interview with the Fanatics View YouTube channel.
“The richest people from the Middle East, it seems to me, just paid the judges,” he said. Mitchell expressed his belief that Volkanovski should have won by decision, but the result was rigged.
On February 12, Makhachev defeated Volkanovski at UFC 284 by unanimous decision. He made his first defense of the organization’s lightweight title won in October.
In total, in his professional career, Makhachev won 24 victories and suffered one defeat. Volkanovski has 25 wins and two losses.
