Striker club of the Continental Hockey League (KHL) “Metallurg” Sergei Koshelev was accused of giving a bribe for evading the army. It is reported by TASS.
The criminal case against the athlete is considered by the Leninsky District Court of Ufa. “The meeting on the accusation of Semyon Koshelev was yesterday [21 марта]it has been postponed until April 4, there will be an interrogation of the defendant, ”the press service of law enforcement agencies said.
The 27-year-old hockey player is accused of giving a bribe to an official on a large scale. The criminal case against him was registered on 17 January.
In total, Koshelev played 406 matches in the KHL and scored 73 goals. The hockey player has been playing for Metallurg Magnitogorsk since 2020, previously he represented Avangard Omsk and CSKA Moscow.
On July 1, Russian hockey player Ivan Fedotov was detained in St. Petersburg on suspicion of evading military service. Later, he was taken to the training unit of the Russian Navy for military service. The player’s lawyer filed a complaint to invalidate the commission’s decision to draft.
