Fury vs Usyk fight canceled

Boxer Usyk’s manager Egis Klimas announced the cancellation of the fight between the Ukrainian and Briton Fury

The manager of the boxer Oleksandr Usyk, Egis Klimas, announced the cancellation of the fight between the Ukrainian and British Tyson Fury. His words lead to Twitter journalist Michael Benson.

As it became known, the fight scheduled for April 29 will not take place due to the conditions of Fury’s team. “No matter how much Usyk compromised, he was still put forward new demands,” said Klimas. He noted that the Ukrainian boxer hopes to return to the ring for a mandatory title defense in the summer.

Negotiations about the duel between Usyk and Fury have been going on since the fall of 2022. The promoter of the Ukrainian Alexander Krasyuk noted that they were delayed due to disagreements on remuneration.

Fury has 33 wins, one draw and no losses. He owns the World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight championship belt.

Usyk has 20 wins in 20 fights. He holds the World Boxing Organization (WBO), International Boxing Federation (IBF), International Boxing Organization (IBO) and WBA Super heavyweight championship belts.
