In the second stage, the Eagles reached the fourth goal with defender Daniel Silva, who scored against his own goal in the 24th minute. In the final stretch, André Silva scored the goal of honor for Vitória de Guimarães in the 34th minute. The defender summoned to the main Portuguese selection, António Silva, still had time to score with a header and close the rout.
The result keeps Benfica at the top of the Portuguese Championship with 68 points and opens up a momentary advantage of 11 points over the vice-leader Porto, who still plays in the round. Vitória de Guimarães, on the other hand, is in fifth place on the table with 50 points added.
