O Paris Saint Germain will make a bid in the tender launched by the French government to buy the Stade de France in 2025, a source inside the club said on Friday, confirming information from the newspaper The Team.
“We are candidates to buy Stade de France”, said this source, who explained that the club has not yet submitted its offer.
On March 7, the French State published the two business models for the stadium, whose value is estimated at R$ 3.5 billion, at current prices. One for the assignment and the other for a new concession, with delivery date for April 27, according to the documents consulted by the AFP.
The offers that are made, both for the assignment and for the concession, will be studied in 2024 for a probable assignment in 2025.
A few months ago, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi expressed his irritation at the difficulties in negotiations with the city of Paris for a possible purchase of the Parc des Princes, where the club has historically hosted its games.

Weeks later, the mayor of the French capital, Anne Hidalgo, responded that the stadium “was not for sale”.
“If this does not go ahead with the City of Paris, we have prepared other options,” explained the PSG source.
The club considers that if it does not become the owner of Parque dos Príncipes, it will not be able to start expansion and modernization works, estimated at R$ 2.7 billion.
