Another symptom of adverse hormonal changes, reduced hormone production may be weight gain. Extra pounds appear against the background of diseases that arise due to the fact that the body does not produce the necessary hormones, for example, against the background of hypothyroidism, diabetes, tumors of the adrenal glands or pituitary gland.
“In addition, signs of impaired hormone production are an increase in blood pressure, enlargement and coarsening of facial features,” Mikhaleva added.
There are other signs that may indicate a hormonal imbalance: an enlarged front of the neck; menstrual irregularities that occur in women under 45; discharge from the mammary glands in women, from the mammary glands in men; dark coarse long hair on the face and body in women (hirsutism); acne in women over 25 years of age.
