Roglic repeats his victory and rises to the leadership of the Tirreno-Adriatico

the slovenian cyclist Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) won this Friday the fifth stage of the Tirreno-Adriaticofinally held after being cut between Morro d’Oro and Sassotetto over 165.6 kilometres, and after repeating the stage victory, he also placed as new leader of the general.
The presence of strong wind made the organization choose to cut the last kilometers of the final climbleaving the finish in Valico di Santa Maria Maddalena, where Primoz Roglic won, attacking just as he sighted the finish line.
Roglic, who was 6 seconds behind the previous leader Lennard Kamna (BORA-hansgrohe)is the new leader with four seconds ahead of the German, who managed to hold on among the best in this queen stage.
Third overall is Joao Almeida (UAE Team Emirates)12 seconds.
Due to the strong windy weather conditions at the summit, the race organizer (RCS Sport) decided to bring the finish line forward to ensure maximum safety for the riders, reducing the total distance of the stage to 165.6 kilometres.
