Ilya Averbukh said that 90 percent of the information in the media about Kostomarov’s health is fictitious
Choreographer Ilya Averbukh said that about 90 percent of the information disseminated in the media about the condition of the Olympic champion in ice dancing Roman Kostomarov was invented. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
He urged journalists and bloggers to stop publishing unverified news related to the athlete’s health. “Except for doctors, parents, Oksana Domnina and partly me, no one has accurate information,” Averbukh emphasized.
He noted that Kostomarov’s wife Domnina herself decides what to share with the press. “We are waiting and hoping that there will be an improvement,” Averbukh said.
Earlier on March 7, it became known that Kostomarov was developing sepsis on his arms and legs. It was clarified that there was a threat of several more amputations.
Kostomarov was hospitalized on January 10 with pneumonia and influenza B. The figure skater underwent several limb amputations. According to the Telegram channels “112” and Mash, Kostomarov’s left foot was amputated, as well as several fingers on both hands.
