Demi Vollering (SD Works) won the Strade Bianche 2023 female category after beat Lotte Kopecky (SD Works) in the final meters. Both played the victory in a tight sprintand the Dutch prevailed over the Belgian.

The first escapade consisted of Silvia Zanardi (Bepink), morgan coston (Cofidis), iurani white (Labor Kutxa-Euskadi Foundation) and Alessia Vigil (Top Girls Fassa Bortolo). However, the peloton did not give the group many options and broke the break. After, kristen faulkner (Jayco AlUla) launched the counterattack and along with Karlijn Swinkels (Jumbo VIsma) opened up.

With 31 kilometers to go, Faulkner left her breakaway partner behind. Little by little, she increased the advantage of him, but from behind Kopecky and Vollering went after her. The duo had a hard time catching up with Faulkner, but they did with a kilometer to go. Faulkner was unable to keep up with the two riders from the SD Works team.

The two teammates played for the victory, and after a tight sprint Vollering was victorious crossing the finish lineor in front of Kopecky. Finally, Faulkner was third to 18 seconds and completed the podium. Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig (FDJ – SUEZ) was fourth and Annemiek Van Vleuten (Movistar) fifth.
