The free interpretation of the myth of the famous hero caught the attention of viewers around the world, a Kevin Sorbo, the lead actor, was adored. The handsome, muscular hero with a slightly arrogant, but endearing disposition became almost . There were many indications that Hollywood was waiting for him with open arms. However, his career stalled. The actor repeats that this is because the tolerance of the film environment is quite limited. And the problem is his… faith.

The main character was played by Kevin Sorbo, before becoming an actor, he worked as a model for a long time. It was also almost enough for him to choose sports instead of movies. He was a great baseball, basketball and soccer enthusiast. And he excelled in every sport. Nevertheless, he was more drawn to acting, which is why he joined a theater troupe that performed all over Europe. After returning to Los Angeles, he played very episodic roles in various series, still waiting for something bigger. And it hapenned, He was perfect for the role of Herculesalthough no one expected it to be so popular.

Viewers loved the mythological world retold and the endearing Hercules. Reportedly, Kevin defeated as many as 2,500 rivals at the casting. He emphasized that he always tried to add something from himself to make Hercules a bit more fun than the script envisaged. It started at the casting itself, where the producers asked him if he could shave his torso for the role. He brazenly replied that Hercules had no time for such things. For this reason, the production of “Hercules” had to be stopped. No one knew how long it would take to recover or if Kevin would ever come for himself. It is said that if not for the series, it would have at least a few more seasons. The producers got out of this impasse with the series “Xena – Warrior Princess”, which, as it turned out, even beat the results of Hercules. The actor withdrew completely from public life. Instead, he focused on family life. In 1995, he married his co-star Sam Jenkins, who played Serena in Hercules. They had three children and are still together. Over time, Kevin wanted to return to acting, but claims that because of faith, producers no longer want to hire him.
Kevin has publicly expressed his rather conservative views many times, and has often spoken about the role of religion in his life. He claimed that during his stroke he had an epiphany from God. He told about it in an interview with Fox News.
