The game
In the 12th minute of the first stage, Borussia Dortmund even scored with Julian Brandt, who received a beautiful launch from Jude Bellingham and kicked in the corner of goalkeeper Janis Blaswich. Brandt, however, dominated the ball with his hand and, therefore, after the VAR review, the goal was disallowed.
At 19, Blaswich brought down Marco Reus inside the area and the penalty was scored. At the charge, Reus opened the scoring for the home team. In the 38th minute, Emre Can took advantage of the rebound on Brandt’s kick, and shot from outside the area, to extend Borussia Dortmund’s advantage.
In the second half, the hosts tried to defend themselves, but, in the 28th minute, Emil Forsberg received it from David Raum and reduced it for the visitors, giving final numbers to the match.
