Haaland scores again as City beat Bournemouth away

This Saturday, Bournemouth received the Manchester City at Vitality Stadium, in Bournemouth, for a match valid for the 25th round of the Premier League. The duel ended with a 4-1 victory for the visiting team.

With the victory, City, who face Newcastle at home in the next round, were 55 points and remained in second place in the competition, behind Arsenal, who beat Leicester earlier. Bournemouth, who visit Arsenal next Saturday, continued with their 21 points in 19th place.

The game

As expected, the match started with pressure from City, even playing away from home. Pep Guardiola’s team took possession of the ball and the offensive actions of the first stage.

In the 15th minute, world champion Julian Álvarez found his way to the goal and opened the scoring for the visitors. After a riot in the Bournemouth area, where the Manchester City he even hit the post, the Argentine took advantage of the spare and just pushed the ball inside.

The Manchester team continued to press and was rewarded, as, at 28, Haaland received from Foden inside the area and only had the job of finishing into the goal, becoming the team’s top scorer in a single edition of the Premier League. At 44, Foden this time scored the net and practically defined the victory for the visitors.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, were unable to create and finish, going into the break with a three-goal deficit.

On the way back from the break, the script of the match did not change and Manchester City continued to press the home team. In the 6th minute, Álvarez kicked, the ball deflected off defender Mepham and went in, to the joy of the visitors. Bournemouth even discounted at the end, with Lerma, but the goal did little good for the home team. End of conversation and 4-1 on the scoreboard for the Manchester City team.
