“With friends like that, you don’t need enemies” says Henry about Neymar’s photo

Neymar was again the focus of the news when he was photographed having lunch at a McDonald’s and playing in a poker tournament, after the defeat of Paris Saint Germain 1-0 to Bayern Munich in the Champions League last midweek.

The Brazilian’s behavior was heavily criticized by the press and fans of the Parisian club. Thierry Henry, a French idol, was the last to comment on Neymar’s situation: “Were your friends who published the photo? With friends like that, you don’t need enemies.”

Galtier, the coach of PSGmet with Neymar personally and also went public to give his opinion on what happened: “I told him what I thought, Ney has the right to rest, to recover and to play poker on his rest day. He is passionate . I said what I thought about the photo that came out, that’s between me and him”, commented the technician.

Mbappé was another who had to speak out to avoid controversy, as he said his teammates should sleep and eat well before the match against Bayern. The statement seemed like a sting to the Brazilian after the picture at McDonald’s was posted. “I saw that they talked about Ney, about what happened. It wasn’t a poke at Ney”, said the French star.

Neymar was injured in his team’s last match, against Lille, for Ligue 1. The Brazilian sprained his ankle and is doubtful for the Champions League round of 16 return match against Bayern, in Munich.
