Likewise, Tumbes (12.34 Mbps) and Lambayeque (12.06 Mbps), at the regional level, presented the highest values ​​of average moving speed.

Through a press release, the regulatory body indicated that, during the first month of 2023, the average Internet download speed in mobile networks with 4G technology in the national territory reached 11.42 Mbps (megabits per second) at Nacional level.

According to the Mobile Internet Monitoring Panel of the regulatory entity, only the operating companies Claro (+0.24 Mbps) and Bitel (+0.08 Mbps) increased their performance in this indicator compared to December 2022, while Entel (-0.18 Mbps) and Movistar (-0.1 Mbps) reported a decrease compared to the aforementioned month.

By company, Claro, with 12.8 Mbps, was positioned as the best performance in the first month of 2023. It was followed by Entel, with 12.17 Mbps, and Movistar, with 9.81 Mbps. Regarding the 4G coverage time that users accessed from their cell phones nationwide, it reached 88.27%, which represented a slight improvement compared to the 88.12% registered in December. In this indicator, Movistar was the company with the longest coverage time (90.16%), followed by Bitel (88.57%), Entel (88.23%) and Claro (86.78%). The latter was the only one that reduced its performance in relation to the previous month (86.81).

The regions with the longest coverage time were Tumbes (91.99%), Piura (91.32%), Ucayali (91.23%), Lambayeque (90.38%) and Arequipa (90.18%). Meanwhile, Pasco (86.78%), Ayacucho (86.13%), Huancavelica (85.95%), Loreto (85.89%) and Amazonas (85.46%) obtained the lowest performances.

With an average latency of 83.76 ms, Entel was the operator with the shortest delay time nationwide, displacing Movistar (84.27 ms), which in the previous month had the shortest delay time (83.99 ms ). Next came Claro, with 97.1 ms, and Bitel, with 102.05 ms.

At the regional level, Ica (84.56 ms), Lima (86.03 ms), Junín (87.11 ms), Callao (87.17 ms) and Huancavelica (89.16 ms) were the ones that presented the best performance. average latency levels of mobile internet in 4G networks.
