After drawing with Nottingham Forest this Saturday, the coach of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola, spoke about the team’s performance during the match. With the result, the team lost the chance to assume the leadership of the English Championship.
“We were good, really good. It was a good game, an excellent game. We had fantastic opportunities, but this is football. We have to score. We did everything we had to do”, he said.

Despite praising the football presented on the field, Guardiola also stressed that the result should have been positive for City. The Manchester club dominated the match and had chances to extend the scoreboard before Forest’s draw.
“We had several clear opportunities to score. It was one of the best games we played, but we lost two points. We should have been more aggressive. We know that there are still many games to play ”, he concluded.
With the tie, Guardiola’s men reached 52 points, two less than the Arsenal. In second place, Manchester City still have a match in hand on the leaders. The team returns to the field for the Premier League next Sunday (25), against Bournemouth.
