USADA refuses to investigate allegations against Russian UFC champion Makhachev
The American Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) answered a question about the investigation into the Russian champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Islam Makhachev. The statement of the organization is quoted by TASS.
USADA declined to investigate the allegations against Makhachev. “There are no complaints against him and his team, he is not a violator of any rules,” the agency explained.

On February 13, New Zealand fighter Dan Hooker revealed that Makhachev went to doctors in Australia to get a drip for dehydration after a weight race, which is against UFC rules. The same claims against the Russian were expressed by his rival Australian Alexander Volkanovski.
On February 12, Makhachev defeated Volkanovski at UFC 284 by unanimous decision. He defended the organization’s lightweight title for the first time.
