The 18-year-old had to be substituted in the first half of Borussia Dortmund’s 2-0 win over Werder Bremen last Saturday for German Championship.
The six-week recovery time is bad news for the team, which is fighting for the Bundesliga title – being third placed, three points behind leaders Bayern Munich – and disputes the round of 16 of the Europe Champions League against Chelsea.
With six goals scored, Moukoko is, alongside midfielder Julian Brandt, Borussia Dortmund’s top scorer this season.
