Luiz Gustavo says that Al Nassr felt the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, but praises his teammate

After four games – three official and one friendly, against PSG -, in football in Saudi Arabia, Cristiano Ronaldo is still adapting to the great change of environment he has made in his career. However, the departure of the Portuguese star to the Middle East has already caused changes that can be felt in his club, Al Nassr.

Partner of the experienced 38-year-old striker, midfielder Luiz Gustavo, who played in the 2014 World Cup for the Brazilian national team, said that the team has been facing problems since Cristiano’s arrival. According to him, the other teams enter the field much more motivated to face them now. Since the arrival of the five-times best athlete in the world, Al Nassr has won, drawn and lost in the Saudi Super Cup.

“Certainly the presence of Cristiano [Ronaldo] makes things more difficult for us, as all teams want to play their 200% against him, and in the end everyone feels that motivation”, he said, in an interview with the vehicle RT Arabic.

Brazilian praises Cristiano Ronaldo

However, the 35-year-old player, who has played for Brazilian, German, French and Turkish football, praised the Portuguese star and said that his presence adds a lot to the club’s squad. As opponents, the two have faced each other four times, all in the European Champions League, with two wins each.

“His presence at Al Nassr adds a lot to the group, because we learn a lot with him every day, due to his great abilities, both technical and physical”, declared the Brazilian, citing the goal scored by Cristiano as a favorable factor to alleviate attacker pressure.

“Cristiano Ronaldo was born playing under pressure, he was made for challenges and has always been successful. I’m sure he’ll help us a lot. Everyone here is waiting for what he’ll present. He’s already scored the first goal and, therefore, he’s already saved pressure,” he added.

Finally, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Luiz Gustavo available, Al Nassr returns to the field this Thursday, for the 16th round of the Saudi Championship. The national team leader will visit Al Wehda, at 2:30 pm (Brasília time), at King Abdulaziz Stadium, in Mecca (ARS).
