Velasco is awarded the victory in the third stage of the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana

Simone Velasco (Astana-Qazaqstan) won the third stage of the Volta to the Valencian Communitybetween Bétera and Sagunto, of 145.1 kilometers, to the win at sprint to his companions on the run bob jungels (Bora-hansgrohe) and Jonas Gregaard Wisley (One X-Pro). Alex Aranburu (Movistar) crossed the finish line in fourth positionleading the main pack that entered three seconds behind the winner.

From the initial quintet of escapees and after a hundred kilometers of adventure with ascents to the Oronet (2ºC) and Garbí (1ºC) passes, the trio barely managed to reach the finish line ahead of a peloton that was on top of them. In the last meters Velasco was the fastest.

Giulio Ciccone (Trek-Segrafedo) leads the general classification and leads Pello Bilbao by three seconds (Bahrain-Victorious) which is second. Alexandr Vlasov (Bora-hansgrohe) is third, six seconds behind the leader and Alex Aranburu ranks fourth 10 seconds behind Ciccone.
