Piszczek as assistant to Fernando Santos? Two doubts

Piszczek has no coaching experience and has just completed a course at the PZPN Coaches’ School. . – Łukasz is an outstanding football player, but let’s not forget that he is only at the beginning of his coaching career. Łukasz’s name alone in the staff will not change the image of the national team – he said.

Another issue weighing on Piszczek are mistakes from many, many years ago. As a young footballer of Zagłębie Lubin, he was allegedly involved in a corruption scandal. In 2009, Piszczek himself reported to the prosecutor’s office and told about the backstage of that case. He admitted that the older players decided to make a drop for 100,000. PLN bribe. Each player was to donate $10,000. zloty. He, in turn, was young then, so he had nothing to say and also had to participate in the contribution.

Listkiewicz is behind Łukasz Piszczek: “Some would like to stone him”

For some experts, such a past is disqualifying when it comes to working in the national team. However, Micha³ Listkiewicz, the former president of the Polish Football Association and international referee, has a different opinion and defended Piszczek. – Some would like to stone him for the sins of his youth. Of the several hundred convicted of getting dirty in the Hairdresser scandal, Łukasz is one of the least deserving of condemnation. I recommend the cases of very well-known editors Piotr, Tomasz and Kamil to the media Catons. Tax fraud, traffic offenses or mobbing did not remove them from the profession, which I fully accept – he wrote in a column for “Super Express”.
