Vine, winner of the Tour Down Under; Pello Bilbao, third

Jay Vine (UAE) claimed final victory at the Tour Down Under This Sunday, January 22. In the last stage Simon Yates prevailed (Jayco-AlUla). Pello Bilbao (Bahrain-Victorious) completed the final podium after finishing the degree in third place in the general classification.

The fifth stage was contested between Unley and Mount Lofty (112.5 km). The fight between the applicants to win the final victory was vibrant. Simon Yates won the stage. The British beat Vine in the final meters. Third place in the stage went to Ben O’Connor (AG2R Citroén), 2 seconds behind the winner. Pello Bilbao, winner of the 3rd stage, crossed the finish line in seventh position 6 seconds from Yates. Into the same group from Bilbao entered Gorka Izagirre (Movistar), 13th.
