UFC champion Leon Edwards says he wants to fight Khamzat Chimaev

Champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Briton Leon Edwards spoke about the possible fight against the Swedish fighter of Chechen origin Khamzat Chimaev. The words of the athlete leads SportsKeeda.

“He’s also on my list. He is the fighter I want to take out. Khamzat can fight Colby Covington or someone like him, and then we’ll talk,” Edwards said. He also supported the Swede’s intention to continue competing in the welterweight division.

Chimaev won 12 victories in his professional career without suffering a single defeat. In the last fight, he was stronger than the American Kevin Holland.

Chimaev and Edwards were supposed to fight in January 2021. However, the fight was cancelled.
