Barcelona captain Sergio Busquets was convinced that winning the Spanish Super Cup this Sunday against Real Madrid “would be a boost to continue on the right track.”

“We come from a time in which we have not won titles, I think the last one was the Copa de Rey in 2021. Since then there have been many changes, it would be one more boost” to win, Busquets said at a press conference.
“Hopefully we can win. A title would give us that boost to continue on the right path and see everything with more optimism”, insisted the Barca captain.
Against Real Madrid, “we must be prepared so that they don’t go well on counters and be forceful in areas,” said Busquets, recalling that Real Madrid “doesn’t need to dominate a lot” to prevail.
Barça’s bulwark in midfield, Busquets stated that “it’s a team effort, if we’re a block and we’re together, it’ll be much easier and we’ll be able to have a bit more control”.
Asked about his continuity at Barça, Busquets stated that “I haven’t decided yet, there is nothing new. When the time comes, we’ll see.” (D)
