Former Spartak head coach Carrera said that the Russians love Artem Dziuba
Former head coach of Spartak Massimo Carrera spoke about the attitude of the Russians to the football player Artem Dziuba. It is reported by “RB-Sport”.
“I can’t answer who is the most popular Russian footballer now. Dziuba? Yes, may be. I think the Russians love Artyom,” Carrera said. He also called the striker the hero of the 2018 World Cup.
From August to November 2022, Dzyuba played for the Turkish club Adana Demirspor. As part of the team, he played five matches in which he scored one goal. The football player decided to terminate the contract with the team, as he did not receive enough playing time.
Carrera coached Spartak from 2016 to 2018. Under his leadership, Muscovites won the Russian championship and won the country’s Super Cup.
