1992 Olympic ice hockey champion Sergei Bautin dies at 55
The 1992 Olympic hockey champion Sergei Bautin died at the age of 55 after a long illness. This was reported on the website of the Moscow Dynamo, in which he played.

In 1992, Bautin, together with the national team, won the Albertville Olympic Games, and also received the title of Honored Master of Sports. In 2014, the athlete was inducted into the National Hockey Hall of Fame.
In December, Russian player of the London Knights Hockey League club Abakar Kazbekov died at the age of 18. In the 2022/2023 season, Kazbekov took part in 12 matches and scored one assist. Previously, he played for the youth teams of Vityaz near Moscow.
