2023 begins with a slight rebound in fuel reference prices

Most of the referential prices of the fuels Petroleum derivatives began 2023 with a slight increase compared to the last closing of December, according to the Supervisory Agency for Investment in Energy and Mining (Osinergmin).

In this way, the price of a gallon of 90 octane gasohol went from S/8.59 to S/9, while that of 95 increased from S/8.93 to S/9.38. Both are the most used in the Peruvian market.

Similarly, the cost of a gallon of gasohol 84 rose from S/7.96 to S/8.28, while that of 97 did the same, going from S/9.15 to S/9.62.

In the case of Diesel B5, the presentation that has less than 2,500 parts per million (ppm) of sulfur rose to S/12.53 from S/12.21 on the previous Monday. The presentation that has between 2,500 and 5,000 ppm of sulfur became worth S/9.26 per gallon, when before it was priced at S/9.19.

The price of industrial oils, used mainly in boilers, also increased. The 6 gallon of industrial oil went from S/6.52 to S/6.63, while the 500 industrial oil rose from S/6.41 to S/6.52 today.

Finally, the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) went from being quoted at S/2.03 to S/2.07 per kilogram.

It should be noted that these prices are for reference only and do not include the additional costs that each of the wholesale distributors may apply, in this case, Petroperú and Repsol. Therefore, they do not necessarily coincide with the boards of the faucets.
