In addition, we intend to call on all countries of the world to name at least one stadium in honor of Pele, so that our children know how important it is, ”said Infantino. The head of FIFA added that he is experiencing many emotions due to the death of the Brazilian champion.

Pele died on December 29th. The cause of death of the 82-year-old Brazilian was the failure of internal organs against the background of progressive cancer.

Pele is a three-time world football champion. He played as part of Santos for 18 years and, together with the team, became the champion of Brazil six times. In 1999, the International Olympic Committee recognized the striker as the athlete of the century.
