Ronaldo’s annual income for performances at the new club will be $200 million. Thus, the Portuguese striker ousted the Mexican boxer Saul Alvarez from the first place in the list of the highest paid athletes in the world. Alvarez received over $84 million in 2022, according to Forbes.
Ronaldo signed with Al-Nasr on 30 December. The agreement is for two years.
The last club of the 37-year-old Ronaldo was the English “Manchester United”. In November, the Mancunians announced the termination of the contract with the striker by mutual agreement of the parties.
In addition to Manchester United, Ronaldo played for Portuguese Sporting, Real Madrid and Turin’s Juventus. The striker is a five-time winner of the Golden Ball. Together with the Portuguese national team, the footballer became the champion of Europe in 2016.
