Halvor Egner Granerud showed no weakness again. In the qualifications in Bischofshofen he showed his class again. He jumped from the lowered, twelfth beam (almost everyone jumped from the 14th), reached as much as 137 meters and took first place. Dawid Kubacki, who had the longest jump in the qualification (137.5 meters), was ahead by 4.5 points. The World Cup leader was given lower marks due to landing problems.
Great jump by Kamil Stoch.
Kamil Stoch, three-time winner of the tournament (in 2017, 2018 and 2021) jumped great – 137 meters and was classified in fourth position. Four meters closer landed Piotr Żyła, who definitely improved compared to training. Live took eleventh place.
How did the other Poles jump? The most important thing is that all six of our players have secured promotion to the competition. Pawe³ Wąsek jumped 127 meters (126.8), which gave him the 21st position. Stefan Hula landed on 124 meters (score 113.8) and was 43rd. On the other hand, 118 meters – this is the result of Jan Habdas (score 110.9). He advanced as the 49th competitor, only the Austrian Markus Mueller was weaker.
What will Polish couples look like in the competition? One of the two will be white and red, because Kubacki will face Habdas. Stoch’s rival will be Austrian Clemens Leitner, Piotra ¯y³y – Slovenian Domen Prevc, Paweł Wąsk – Austrian Jan Hoerl, and Stefana Huli – Japanese Ryoyu Kobayashi.
The fourth competition will start on Friday at 16.30. Live coverage on Sport.pl and in the Sport.pl LIVE application.
