The Croatian entered the interview zone. And it started. Scandalous words to journalists

The Croatian national team won a medal in the second World Cup in a row. After a silver medal four years ago in Russia (the final was lost 4-2 to France), now the Croatians took third place. They defeated Morocco 2-1 in the bronze medal match.

Lovren began to insult journalists

After the game, the Croatians were very happy. Unfortunately, it was not without unpleasant excesses. Dejan Lovren, the Croatian stopwatch, came to the interview zone. At first, he normally spoke to journalists from outside Croatia, he was smiling.

At one point, he was asked for his opinion by Croatian journalists, but he just waved his hand and walked towards the locker room.

– Two fellow journalists laughed, and Lovren came back and asked: “Who’s laughing?” – describes the situation of the Croatian daily 24sata. “Mozzartsport.com” writes that one journalist laughed at “Slobodna Dalmacija”.

Then the Croatian centre-back started shouting: “What is this attitude. You are not proud. You are against us, you laugh, you make fun of us, you are one of those who spit at us from the beginning.”

The journalists answered him: “We are not laughing at you, what are you talking about?”. Then Lovren raised his voice and began insulting journalists.

– Well, now you’re making fun of me, stink. You and you – fired Lovren, quoted by “24sat”.

Journalists reacted immediately. “One of the Zagreb reporters tried to reassure the seasoned stopwatch, even giving him fatherly advice that he shouldn’t behave like that in front of 30 people, but Lovren didn’t stop screaming,” adds mozzartsport.com.

After the incident, Tomislav Pacak, spokesman for the Croatian Football Federation, apologized to journalists for Lovren’s outburst of anger.

The Croatian stopper once again caused a scandal in his career. “Of course I’m sorry my friends are not at the World Cup.

Four years ago in Russia, after Croatia’s 3-0 win over Argentina, Lovren caused another scandal. After the match, he was supposed to sing the song “Bojna Cavoglave”, which in the text contains the phrase “For the homeland – cook yourself!”. It was the motto of the Ustaše, an ultranationalist and fascist movement in Croatia in the 1930s and during World War II. The Ustaše collaborated with the Germans and were responsible for the holocaust in Croatian lands. They murdered about 300,000 people in concentration camps. Today, their motto is treated more or less the same way as the Nazi salute.
