The Basque Team track Ekain Jimenez concluded the team speed test in eighth position of the European Championships that are being disputed in Munich.

The group formed by Ekain, Alejandro Martínez and Jose Moreno had no problem getting through yesterday’s qualifier but fell in the first round against the trio from Great Britain made up of Jack Carlin, Alistair Fielding and Hamish Turnbull. The time of Jimenez’s group has been 36.765 while the British have obtained a mark of 35.196. The English have gone directly to be classified for the fight for bronze, and Ekain Jimenez’s team has been relegated to compete for positions from fifth to eighth. Finally, taking into account the times, they have been eighth.

Jiménez stated that it is true that the incident at the start, getting stuck at the start, has conditioned them from the beginning, but to be honest, the rest of the competing teams are even better.
