“Spartak” interested the owners of “Manchester City”

Representatives of the Emirati City Football Group, which owns English Manchester City, are interested in acquiring shares in Moscow’s Spartak. This was reported on the Baza Telegram channel.

British representatives of the company arrived in Moscow. They have already held meetings with the leaders of Spartak. City Football Group may acquire 20 percent of the capital’s club shares. The company sees this as entering a new market.

The Red and White from the deal with City Football Group can get a new source of funding, as well as access to a single scouting network. If the owners of City agree to a deal, Spartak will retain its previous name.

City Football Group’s assets are football clubs around the world. Among them are Melbourne City, New York City, Mumbai City.

The main owner of Spartak is a Russian businessman and Lukoil vice president Leonid Fedun. He acquired the club’s shares in the spring of 2004.
