A man of about 25 years is with a reserved prognosis after having received 10 bullet wounds in an attack last Monday night, in the Héctor Cobos sector, in the Duran canton.
In that attack, two other youths were also injured. It is suspected that it would be a case of drug dealing, neighbors said.
Colonel Jorge Hadathy, chief of the Durán District, explained that according to witnesses, the three young men were talking outside a house when subjects arrived and with two weapons made 16 detonations against them.

The police chief said that 16 ballistic signs were raised, that the young man with the 10 bullet wounds has a reserved prognosis in a hospital and the other two wounded are stable. And that none of them had a criminal record.
He added that as a district, Durán has 58 violent deaths so far this year. One of the last cases was a beheaded man in the Cerro Las Cabras sector.
