As part of a planned moment on stage, a boy co-hosting the event passed Putin a ball. Putin hit it back, but the ball struck an obstacle and bounced back to him. He hit it a second time, delighting the children watching.

Putin thanked the participants for their warm welcome and spoke with them. He also thanked the children for taking part in the contest and wished them luck.
Putin said he was very glad to see everyone, adding that it was a pleasure to meet those who had shown themselves in the best light while searching for their path in life and their future work for Russia.
Putin's visit to Krasnoyarsk
Putin flew to Krasnoyarsk on August 3 to take part in the closing ceremony of the contest. He also had several other work events planned in the city.
