Steiff, the German toy company, has released a Pikachu plush toy priced at $400 to mark Pokémon's 30th anniversary, and the first batch sold out within minutes of going on sale.

Limited to 1,996 pieces
The plush arrives in a special box and carries Steiff's Button in Ear trademark, placed at the top of its tail. Only 1,996 of the plushes are available in total, a number chosen because it marks the year the Pokémon franchise first launched in Japan.
Pokémon Wind and Wave leak
Separately, an account called CentroLeaks published a video said to show an early build of Pokémon Wind and Wave. The footage shows a trainer opening a backpack and throwing a Poké Ball directly at a wild Pokémon without starting a battle, a mechanic already available in Pokémon Legends: Arceus and Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Pokémon Wind and Wave is set to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 and will not be released for the previous generation console.
