Prolonged standing in a traffic jam does not cause positive emotions in anyone and turns out to be a source of additional stress and aggressive actions with a tendency to violate traffic rules. It is at this time that the “barriers” are activated, which not only significantly worsen the traffic situation, but are also a source of accidents. When traveling out of town, it is better to eliminate these negative factors, said auto expert Egor Vasilyev in an interview with the PRIME agency.

According to him, you need to leave when there is minimal traffic on the road. As a rule, it is early morning or evening. So, morning trips significantly reduce the travel time to your destination. And by reducing travel time, the driver reduces the likelihood of getting into an accident, the specialist emphasized.

At the same time, he noted, any trip to the dacha is characterized by the fact that the driver, in addition to the direct transport function, must carry out a large number of auxiliary tasks. “If we are talking about the beginning of the summer season, then in the car, as a rule, there are a large number of things that are not always fixed properly and can cause problems when driving,” Vasiliev warned.

Often, making this or that maneuver, the driver thinks more about the safety of seedlings than about his own safety. In addition, a trip to the dacha is often accompanied by trips to various stores with the purchase of things that are needed right now, which leads to “a ragged pace of movement,” the expert believes.

“Therefore, the concentration on driving during this period is somewhat reduced, which leads to an increase in the number of accidents. And taking into account the fact that all other drivers are busy with approximately the same, traffic becomes more chaotic, and therefore dangerous, ”Vasilyev said.

In his opinion, if bad weather is also superimposed on heavy traffic, it is better to postpone the trip until the weather conditions return to normal. As the specialist explains, in a situation of heavy traffic of country cars, complicated by weather anomalies, the risk of an accident increases dramatically.

To return from the dacha to the city, it is also desirable to focus on the time when traffic is minimal, but this is much more difficult. The auto expert advises paying attention to your condition – shock weekends in nature with a shovel in your hands do not add vigor, and the physical condition of the driver directly affects his safety. “So on the way back, try to maintain maximum concentration and professionalism,” the specialist concluded.
