The passage of vehicles on this road will not be restricted at night.
The Ministry of Transportation and Public Works (MTOP) reported that the Baños-Puyo road will remain open for vehicular traffic during the holiday, which begins this Saturday, October 30 and will run until Wednesday, November 3.
This State portfolio indicated that the passage of vehicles at night will not be restricted, as it has been doing in recent days due to the possibility of landslides as a result of the storm in the area.
However, in the event of landslides, the MTOP recommended drivers to circulate through the variant executed in the Arco Iris sector, in the Río Negro parish, Baños de Agua Santa, where the material was removed on the road with the support from the Provincial Government of Pastaza.
Likewise, the Governor of Pastaza, Polo Lascano, reiterated that the Baños-Puyo road will be open from 5:00 p.m. this Friday, October 29 until the end of the holiday.
The official expects the arrival of hundreds of people to that province during the holiday. (I)
