Two families living in the rural area of ​​the El Carmen canton were assaulted by six individuals disguised as judicial policemen last Thursday, October 28, at around 8:00 p.m.

According to those affected, according to a police report, the houses of both families are located about 50 meters apart, at kilometer 2 of the El Carmen-Pedernales road.

Those affected by the families reported that they were having a picnic when six people arrived dressed as agents, in green suits and with letters that read “Judicial Police.”

The victims added that to enter their homes the individuals told them that they were in an “anti-crime operation.” The alleged police officers subdued and tied up everyone present, except for a minor under 9 years of age, who was not tied up.

The criminals managed to take several chickens, six cell phones, five pregnant pigs, a new motor-driven fumigation pump, a motor cutter, a water pump, a vehicle, jewelry and clothing.

In addition, according to the complaint, the antisocials even had time to eat the fruits that were in the refrigerator and drink the water that was in a jug inside one of the houses.

The victims demanded that the National Police investigate this criminal act that worries the inhabitants of that rural area of ​​Manabi. (I)
