Prosecutor General of Ukraine Irina Venediktova announced the initiation of a criminal case against a number of Russian officials. According to TASS with reference to Venediktova’s Facebook, cases have been initiated against Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces Sergei Surovikin and Chief of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Forces of the Russian Armed Forces Igor Kirillov. According to her, “there are already 65 suspected officials and military leaders of the Russian Federation in this case.”

Maria Zakharova has already commented on Venediktova’s statement. According to her, such a decision is a manifestation of the “surrealism of the Kiev regime.”

As previously reported, Ukraine is also going to put Russian journalist and TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov on the international wanted list. In addition, the Ukrainian court arrested in absentia the editor-in-chief of the Russian RT channel Margarita Simonyan, film director Nikita Mikhalkov, singer Oleg Gazmanov, singer Nikolai Baskov, and suspected them of encroaching on the territorial integrity of the country.
