US President Joseph Biden promised to provide Ukraine with weapons, food and financial support. This is reported by Interfax with reference to the statements of the head of state in social networks.
According to Biden, the States will make sure that Ukraine has everything necessary to save the lives of its citizens during a military special operation, including food and weapons.
The head of the United States also said that he continues to establish contacts with allies for assistance to Kiev, and recalled that over the past year, the States have allocated more than $1.2 billion to ensure the security of Ukraine.
Earlier, US national security adviser Jake Sullivan said that Washington would not stop supplying weapons to Ukraine, despite Moscow’s warnings that such convoys would become “legitimate targets” for the Russian Armed Forces. Sullivan said Washington has confidence that its “on-the-spot” system will continue to deliver significant amounts of military aid to Ukraine, including arms and other supplies.
Recall that on February 21, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decrees recognizing the independence of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics (DPR and LPR), and on February 24 he made an emergency appeal to the Russians and announced a special military operation in Donbass. In his speech, he stated that “circumstances require decisive action from Russia” and stressed that “Russia will not allow Ukraine to have nuclear weapons.”
