South Korean airline Korean Air is suspending passenger flights to Moscow and Vladivostok and cargo flights to Europe via Moscow until the end of April. It is reported by RBC with reference to the carrier.

The decision was explained by “concerns about the operation of local airports and security in connection with the situation in Ukraine.”

Earlier it was reported that direct flights of foreign airlines from Russian cities, where tourists can travel, can fly to more than ten countries. In particular, these are Turkey, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Morocco, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Belarus, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, India, Sri Lanka, etc.

Since March 9, Russia has lifted anti-coronavirus restrictions on flights to Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Iran.

The Azerbaijani company Azerbajzan Airlines (AZAL) has so far refused to fly from Russia – flights have been suspended since March 5 for an indefinite period. Another Azerbaijani carrier, Buta Airways, did the same. Egyptian EgyptAir also suspended flights from Cairo to Moscow – initially until March 10, but this ban was extended. Also, the suspension of flights to Russia was announced by the Kazakh airline Air Astana from March 10 and the Turkish low-cost carrier Pegasus Airlines from March 13 to 27.
