More than 130,000 people have been evacuated through humanitarian corridors in Ukraine in six days, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a video message posted on his Telegram channel.
According to him, “more than ten humanitarian corridors” have been activated in the Kiev and Luhansk regions. Over the past 24 hours, 5,550 people have been evacuated, and over 130,000 people have been deported in six days.
At the same time, Zelensky stressed that the humanitarian corridor did not work in Mariupol, despite the regime of silence from the Ukrainian side. “We will try until we can help our people,” he added.
Recall, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin made an emergency appeal to the Russians and announced a special military operation in the Donbass. In his speech, he stated that “circumstances require decisive action from Russia” and stressed that “Russia will not allow Ukraine to have nuclear weapons.” In response to Russia’s actions, Western countries (USA, Canada, EU, UK, Japan) announced new, tougher sanctions against the Russian Federation, including financial and economic ones.
