They murder a man in the Esmeraldas Chiquito cooperative, in the south of Guayaquil

According to the Police, the victim had no criminal record.

Violent deaths do not stop in Guayaquil despite the current state of exception. On Wednesday afternoon, the most recent case occurred in one of the streets of the Esmeraldas Chiquito cooperative, in the Malvinas sector, in the south.

In that populous sector, subjects murdered a 26-year-old man. Faced with the alert, reported around 5:00 p.m., police and military personnel went to the scene of the crime.

The man was in the area and upon noticing the presence of suspicious persons aboard a vehicle, he tried to flee, but was hit by shots, Francisco Zumárraga, Los Esteros District police chief, told the media.

At the site, police officers noticed that the body had six bullet wounds.

Police teams were in charge of the lifting of 18 indications and the review of cameras in the sector to find those responsible for the incident.

The victim had no criminal record and lived a few blocks from the murder site, added Major Héctor Zambrano, of the Malvinas circuit.

Legal Medicine was in charge of the transfer of the corpse to the Guayaquil morgue. (I)
