Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas will have more than 2,500 public servants during November holidays

The rest days in tsáchila territory will start from this Saturday, October 30 until Wednesday, November 3, and then from 5 to 8 of the same month.

The contingency plan to be used in the province of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas during the holidays of next November for the Day of the Dead, Independence of Cuenca and the provincialization of that jurisdiction, is listed with 2,558 public servants.

The rest days in the tsáchila territory will begin from this Saturday, October 30 until Wednesday, November 3, and then again from the 5th to the 8th of the same month.

The more than 2,500 people who are part of the public force, public entities and other entities will collaborate with security and compliance with order during the holidays, confirmed Miguel Orellana, governor of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas.

In addition, there will be the support of 142 vehicles, 182 motorcycles, a helicopter, 10 ambulances, 3 rescue units and 183 video security cameras.

Orellana indicated that the holiday for the 14 years of provincialization of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas is moved from Saturday 6 to Friday 5 of November, in accordance with the fourth provision of the second paragraph of the Organic Law of Public Service (Losep) and in application to article 65 of the Labor Code. That date will not be recoverable.

Jaime Salazar, head of the Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas Police Subzone, declared that 1,208 police officers will work during holidays, that is, half of the personnel who will collaborate at a general level.

The general mayor of Police, Édison Salazar, explained that for the holiday the two police stations and the Intendancy in Santo Domingo, the deputy mayor and the police station in La Concordia, and also the ten political lieutenants in the rural parishes of the province will be active for deployment of inter-institutional control operations.

The district director of Health in charge, Lucía Acosta, reported that 1,400 officials will be available for the holiday in the thirteen health centers throughout the province, in order to guarantee the provision of services and patient care. Likewise, the Gustavo Domínguez and General Santo Domingo hospitals will be active, with five ambulances for pre-hospital care.

Regarding the anti-COVID-19 immunization program, the epidemiologist of the Ministry of Health in that province, Katherine Aguirre, said that they continue with the application of vaccines until this Friday, October 29, since later the health personnel will provide the necessary contingent to attend emergencies in the different health entities.
