The body of a 22-year-old man was found dismembered this weekend on a rural road that connects the Chague and Inés María sectors, in the border area between the Naranjito and Simón Bolívar cantons, in the province of Guayas.
After 24 hours, on the morning of this Sunday the 6th, a group of people close to the victim recognized the body in the Milagro morgue.
Scenes of lament and sadness were experienced on the site after confirming that the deceased was Steven Macías Bajaña.
Last Saturday, around 11:00, residents who were walking along the road gave the alert of the presence of the body on the berm of the second order road. Given this, personnel from the Naranjito District corroborated the finding of the lifeless body and requested the assistance of the police personnel in charge of Jujan.

At the scene, Ricardo Armas, from the Jujan-Simón Bolívar police district, said that several meters were searched at the site to collect certain parts of the corpse that were mutilated.
The agents identified three tattoos that served in the following hours in the identification of the body, which among the brush did not carry identity documents.
The police server indicated that apparently the murder would have been registered in another place and only the body had been abandoned there. At the scene, personnel from the Directorate of Violent Deaths and Criminalistics were in charge of analyzing the scene.
After the first investigations at the site, the body was taken to the Milagro morgue.
Felipe Bajaña, grandfather of the deceased, asked local media to clarify the circumstances of the death of the young man, who was last seen when he was riding a motorcycle in the Milagro canton last Friday.
He was dedicated to construction work with his father and leaves two minors, 5 and 6 years old, as an orphan. “We want justice, this should be investigated,” said the grandfather. (I)
